Wiltshire Air Ambulance helped

4 June 2007

The Marlborough office of Brewin Dolphin, the personal investment specialists, takes Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously. As part of its ongoing commitment, it recently hosted a Garden Party to raise funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Thanks to the generosity of their clients and other invited guests Brewin Dolphin were delighted to raise over £7,000, which will be presented to the charity shortly.

The Garden Party was held at the home of Juliet Wilmot in Chittoe, near Devizes, and was attended by over 250 people. The gardens used to be part of Spye Park and were visited by the late Queen Mother in her younger days.

Stephen Depla, Head of the Brewin Dolphin’s Marlborough office said he was extremely pleased that they were able to raise so much money to help the Air Ambulance. Stephen added that many people did not realise that that the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal, based at Police Headquarters in Devizes, is entirely dependent upon public support to raise the £350,000 a year needed to keep the Service flying. It is not Government funded, nor does it qualify for National Lottery Funding.
