Investment at Bell Lawrie Continues with Move to Landmark Office Development

31 July 2006

Expansion at leading private client investment managers Bell Lawrie, has led to a move to Blenheim House, the new “Grade A” office development on Fountainhall Road. As of 31 July, Bell Lawrie will move from their current offices on Albyn Place to their new premises as part of their continued investment into the North East of Scotland.

This follows Bell Lawrie’s recent acquisition of the private client arm of Aberdeen Asset Management (AAM). The new AAM team will join at the end of August, immediately making use of the additional space, bringing their total number of employees to 39. Bell Lawrie has an unrivaled offering in investment management and financial planning in the North of Scotland, and this development reiterates their continued plans for expansion in years to come.

The Head of Bell Lawrie’s Aberdeen office, Norman Law said,

"We are delighted to secure this excellent new office space at Blenheim House. The decision reflects the high level of growth at our company, both organically and through acquisitions. This investment signals our confidence that this growth will continue in years to come.”

Blenheim House is a landmark “Grade A” office development, by Esson Properties Limited, providing comfort cooled open plan space with ample private parking. Bell Lawrie has secured 5,300 square foot, leaving considerable room for additional staff.

A spokesman for Esson Properties said:

“We are delighted to secure a prestigious company like Bell Lawrie as a tenant. The first-rate services offered by Bell Lawrie complement well the excellent facilities offered by at Blenheim House.”

Bell Lawrie’s Aberdeen office has been in existence for nearly 20 years since it’s inception in 1987, when it operated as Abtrust Bell Lawrie. As Scotland’s leading investment managers, Bell Lawrie advises private investors, charities, trusts and pension funds.
